COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

We are taking every precaution to ensure our operations and actions are in accordance with the recommendations of the government, state/local officials and medical professionals to keep you safe.

NRC Research Institute is currently operating with no changes to our office hours and continues to accept new patients.  Our commitment as a medical research facility is to remain open to ensure that the safety protocols and data integrity remain intact throughout this time.

With that being said, we have implemented extra precautions to maintain a safe and sanitary environment:

  • All staff and patients are asked to wear NRC provided masks in all public areas and during all visit procedures.

  • If/when possible, patient visits have been reduced or are done remotely.

  • All patients and/or guests are contacted the day prior to their visit for symptom and exposure assessment.  In addition, all staff conduct daily symptom and exposure assessments prior to beginning work.

  • All staff, patients and/or guests will have their temperature taken at check-in and must be < 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • For the safety of our staff and patients, we ask that patients and/or guests experiencing any symptoms of cold, flu or acute respiratory illness be symptom-free for at least 24 hours prior to attending any scheduled visits.

  • Any patient and/or guest observed to be exhibiting these above symptoms will have their appointment rescheduled.

  • For those patients that are approved to continue their visit, all feasible visit assessments will be conducted in a single room to help patients and staff reduce exposure to multiple contact areas

  • Once a patient exits the room, all areas and instruments are thoroughly wiped down and disinfected prior to next patient use.

  • As well, in an effort to comply with social distancing recommendations, all non-essential staff have been reassigned offsite.  Remaining essential staff have been reassigned to spread throughout the office.

  • For our Clinical Research Unit (CRU):

    • All patients have their own room.

    • Before and after each turnover, rooms and beds are thoroughly wiped down/sanitized.

    • CRU staff are scheduled to do routine cleanings/wipe downs every shift of all common areas.

    • 1 mask to be provided each day to patients.

    • No more than (2) patients should be in common area at a time, must be 6 feet apart.

    • Signs posted to remind everyone on proper hand-washing, etc.

NRC Research remains dedicated to your health and overall well-being in the face of the Coronavirus Pandemic.  We are always the first to recognize that advancements in our treatment options, including for COVID-19, are never a possibility without willing volunteers like yourselves. So, as always, we want to give our patients a BIG
